Don’t die with regrets. Listen to your calling and make it happen.
In today’s LEGEND LIFE STORY interview I will be speaking to adventure sea kayaker Wendy Killoran. Wendy who is an adventurer, photographer, writer and inspirational speaker has paddled around Haida Gwaii, the Bahamas, Vancouver Island and the islands of Sicily and Sardinia. In 2006, she became the first woman to solo circumnavigate Newfoundland and has paddled around all 5 Great Lakes. She lived a conventional life before following her dreams of being a photographer and adventurer in her early 40’s and leaving behind her career in teaching and her marriage.
In our talk Wendy shares what his definition of living a legendary life is and her journey from an unfilled life as a married school teacher to a life she is passionate about as a full time adventure sea kayaker. She shares with us some of her past adventures and the new ones she has planned whilst sharing her definition of adventure and why she thinks others need to include more adventure in their life. She also shares three life lessons she has learned in life.
Wendy lives by the motto “Love the life you live and live the life you love” and has this message to share “Be honest with yourself. Think about what brought you joy as a child and don’t let that song die within you. Don’t die with regrets. Listen to your calling and make it happen.”.
