Adventurer & The Indiana Jones for Girls
In today’s LEGEND LIFE STORY interview I will be sharing my interview with Alice Morrison, who is an adventurer and has been called the Indiana Jones for Girls.
Alice is a British explorer and adventurer, author, journalist and TV presenter. She grew up in Uguanda and Ghana and worked across North Africa and the Middle East as a journalist.
Working in media Alice left the corporate world in 2011 and entered the Tour D’Afrique and cycled from Cairo to Cape Town. She then moved to Morocco to prepare for the Marathon Des Sables where she continues to live. She is now a full time adventurer and has since this time completed a number of world first trekking adventures including being the first woman to trek Morocco’s Draa River.
She has been called the Indiana Jones for girls. She is the author of 4 books about her adventures, Dodging Elephants, Morocco to Timbuktu an Arabian Adventure, Adventures in Morocco and her most recently released book is Walking with Nomads which recounts her journey across Morocco with three amazing nomads and their camels.
In our interview we discuss what started Alice on her journey to becoming an adventurer, and what has inspired her to undertake the adventures she does. What some of her memorbable moments on adventure have been and how she keeps herself motivated. We also talk about her books and what’s on her bucket list. We also talk about some of the adventure’s she has planned next.
Alice also provides her advice to other’s over 40 who may be viewing turning 40 negatively. Her definition of adventure and why having adventures is important. She also gives her definition of ageless living, three life lessons she has learned in life and what living her best life, a legend life means to her.
