Today I have the pleasure of speaking to Kristin Sales who is a social entrepreneur, actress, connector and community builder.
Kristin says that ever since she can remember, she has been a connector. Someone who enjoys facilitating introductions and helping people find the resources they need to solve their problems. She says she is passionate about connecting people and creating social capital with the view to making a difference in people’s lives.
Today she shares her skills and passion to better communities. She serves as a community advisory board member in Los Angeles where she represents 70,000 constituents and advises the Los Angeles City Council and helps communities create and practice Disaster Preparedness Plans in their neighborhoods using the Map your neighborhood program.
In our interview Kristin talks about her journey to becoming a social entrepreneur, discovering her purpose as a community builder and how she lives this purpose to find her defintion of success, “joy”, as a result of feeling that she is making a difference in people’s lives.
