Social Adventurer Isaac Kenyon Shares How He Uses Adventure to Help Live His Purpose
With our Legend Stories Project we look to share with you the inspiring stories of people who have found and are living their purpose. People who are making a difference and looking to postively impact and change the world.
Today I have the pleasure of speaking to Isaac Kenyon who is an adventurer and motivational speaker and geoscientist. Isaac who is also known as Mr Enthusiasm has rowed the Atlantic Ocean, swam the English Channel, climbed to the summit of Mt.Kilimanjaro), been awarded a WORLD RECORD for the longest continual row on an indoor rowing machine (83 hours). His latest adventure is to cycle the length of the UK to raise awareness about the need to protect the UK’s 15 national parks, an undertaking called Pedal 4 Parks. As with all his adventures he looks to raise awareness and money for charities close to his heart. When asked why he has done all his adventures his answer is “for purpose”.
Normally I like to focus our talks on people approaching or over 40 but on hearing his story thought it would be valuable to all of us on what is possible if we are determined and resourceful. In our talk Issaac shares how it was an outing in nature that helped take him from a state of depression to realizing his purpose and embarking on a journey that sees him actively seek out adventures which allow him to challenge himself whilst helping others.
Issac defines his purpose as being to learn, to challenge himself and to help others. A purpose that sees him seek out big challenges that require solutions and will benefit others and use his adventures to help raise awareness and funds.
We talk about his adventures and how he keeps himself motivated and discuss what living a legendary life means to him and also some of the lessons his adventures have taught him along the way.
Our talk will have you inspired to discover your own purpose and realize that you have all the resources right now to live this purpose and make a difference in the world.
