Flying Safari's in Africa with Bukela Safari Africa
With our Bucket List talks we look to share with you expert insights into bucket list destinations, places to stay, adventures and experiences by interviewing travel experts and founders who share their tips, ideas and inspiration to help live your bucket list.
Today I have the pleasure of speaking to Bruce Van Niekerk the founder of Bukela Safari Africa a company that provides guided air safaris in Africa. Bruce is a third generation pilot who has 15 years of pilot guiding experiences. He has personally led over 300 Flying Safari assignments throughout Africa. Bruce is passionate about Africa, its people, aviation, wildlife and photography and wants people to leave Africa changed and captivated.
A typical two week safari with Bukela will see you travel from South Africa and the Sabi Sand Private Reserve to Mozambique and the Bazaruto Archipelago, then to Zimbabwe and the Victoria Falls, Botswana and the Okavango Delta, Namibia and Sossusvlei before returning to South Africa and finishing your trip in Cape Town.
In our talk Bruce shares his favorite places to take clients in Africa, what a typical day would look like on safari, some of his most memorable sightings and moments whilst on safari, his favorite animal and his personal African bucket list. He shares why to take a flying safari as opposed to a typical driving safari and also why he believes everyone should visit Africa at least once in their lifetime.
